Swedish progressive dark metal project Mylingen has announced a new album titled Det Inre Mörkret, scheduled for a staggered summer release via Elasticstage. The material arrives as the successor to Under En Svart Himmel and the 2025 EP Svartsyn.
Multi-instrumentalist Viktor Jonas established the solo venture in 2022 following the dissolution of his previous band, Apathy Noir. While earlier releases focused primarily on a blend of Scandinavian folklore and traditional dark metal, the new songs incorporate distinct progressive rock and space rock influences.

The album artwork is based directly on Hieronymus Bosch’s painting The Garden of Earthly Delights, matching the lyrical focus on ambiguity and human contrast.
Elasticstage will handle the initial digital launch, with physical editions on vinyl and CD following shortly after.
