UK black metal outfit Necronautical have announced their fifth studio album, The Second Death, scheduled for release via Vendetta Records. Ahead of the full-length arrival, the group has unveiled lead single Enemy Of The Grave alongside a lyric and visualizer video created by Killian Monson.
Developed over five years, the upcoming record expands the band’s balance of spacious ambient gothic passages and extreme blackened death metal. The compositions rely on impassioned vocal deliveries to anchor themes of personal reflection, internal struggle, anguish, and perseverance through existential despair.
Lyrically, the album examines themes of legacy, mortality, and identity, framing the titular concept around the final time an individual’s name is spoken after death. Vocalist and guitarist Naut described Enemy Of The Grave as the album’s centerpiece and closing resolution, reflecting the endurance gained through prolonged suffering.
The Second Death arrives on December 4th, 2026 via Vendetta Records, with single Enemy Of The Grave available now.
