They just won’t stay buried, will they.

Night of the Living Dead, the granddaddy of modern zombie carnage, is clawing its way back to life again in a brand new remake, and this time it’s ITN Distribution cracking open the coffin with an official trailer.

Directed by Christopher Ray, the latest spin on the apocalypse throws us straight into a world where the dead are up, walking about, and munching on brains, as they are want to do.

Society’s collapsing, panic’s spreading, and a handful of unlucky survivors are stuck trying to outlast a situation that, historically, does not end well for anyone involved.

Leading the charge is Vivica A. Fox, joined by a cast that includes Brittany Underwood, Robert Carradine, Miko Hughes, Zack Ward, Rob Van Dam, and Adam Huss. It’s a mix that suggests this version is leaning more into violence and confrontation than quiet dread. Less slow burn, more ‘board up the windows, grab a big ass shotgun, and shoot anything that tries to break in, straight in the kisser’.

The trailer teases the usual end-of-the-world staples, showing that once again, humanity is absolutely not prepared for this. Whether it brings anything new to Romero’s blueprint or just adds more bodies to the pile… well, that’s remains to be seen.
