Harrison McKenzie of the New Zealand band Olde Throne has formed a solo experimental blackened death metal project named Immiserator. The project’s debut album, Blight Of Subsistence, will be released on August 28th, via Apocalyptic Witchcraft. The announcement coincides with the release of a music video for the track Engine of Collapse.
McKenzie handled all writing, instrumentation, and tracking for the record in late 2025. The material incorporates industrial structures and deals with themes of societal decline and human obsolescence.
The album’s release through Apocalyptic Witchcraft includes digital, cassette, and digipak CD editions.
