Orange County melodic hardcore institution Ignite have set an early 2027 release date for their upcoming studio full-length, Still Wide Awake. Stripping back their configuration, the band spent the recording process operating as a streamlined four-piece featuring vocalist Eli Santana, bassist Brett Rasmussen, guitarist Nik Hill, and drummer Craig Anderson.
The change in internal structure marks a conscious return to the core mechanics of the band’s mid-’90s era, emphasizing accelerated tempos, aggressive rhythm sections, and sharp melodic hooks. Rather than leaning on over-produced modern conventions, the tenured group built the tracklist around direct, high-energy songwriting that leans into their earliest hardcore influences.

The forthcoming effort follows decades of touring and international output, using a simplified creative process to yield some of the fastest material in the group’s current catalog. The raw, gut-driven approach aims to balance sheer speed with the heavy, hook-laden songwriting that defined their foundational releases.
Physical and digital distribution for the new record will be handled by UK-based punk imprint Lockjaw Records.
Still Wide Awake drops January 15th, 2027.
