Santiago-based heavy rock outfit Piel have officially released their latest single and music video, Nos Mantenemos Firmes. The crushing track serves as the third glimpse into their highly anticipated third studio album, titled III, which is slated to drop in late 2026.

Written entirely by band founder Alex Portillo and produced alongside Mauricio Vilarroel at Chuka.rec studios, the song functions as a raw manifesto on overcoming adversity. The band describes the track as a message dedicated to those who have fallen, those who keep fighting, and anyone still searching for a light in the dark. The lyrical narrative delves into the idea that true bravery is not about being invulnerable, but about finding the courage to stand back up after being knocked down.

To accompany the heavy message of the single, Piel chose to step away from traditional cinematic storytelling, relying instead on the unyielding energy of their live execution. The accompanying video was recorded as a live session at CasaGrecia studios in ร‘uรฑoa, capturing the band’s authentic performance style and delivering a visceral visual companion that amplifies the urgency of the track.

Formed in Santiago, Chile, in 2019, Piel has been led by Portillo on vocals and guitar for over seven years, building a steady catalog that features two studio albums and two live records. This year marks a major turning point for the project, which has revamped its lineup with veteran musicians from the Chilean scene. Hans Leiva (Macrobia, Minerva) has taken over the drum throne, while Daniel Carroz joins to anchor the low end on bass, injecting a punishing new groove into the power trio’s signature blend of alternative rock, hardcore, post-hardcore, and groove metal.
