Italian death-doom collective Shores of Null have officially broken their silence with the release of Bleed to Life, the lead single and music video from their highly anticipated upcoming album, Homesick. The record is scheduled to drop on October 16th, via Dusktone.

The new track showcases the Rome-based quintet at their most refined, sharpening their signature cocktail of gothic sentimentality, blackened aggression, and melancholic doom.

Lyrically, the track flips a well-known morbid idiom on its head. Rather than bleeding to death, the songwriting focuses on the painful, necessary process of bleeding to lifeโ€”using suffering as a catalyst for emotional growth and self-discovery. Instead of running from past traumas and scars, the band leans directly into them, searching for acceptance within the darkness.

“The song’s core theme is the paradox of finding life through pain,” explains vocalist Davide Straccione. “It’s an inversion of the familiar phrase ‘bleed to death’ that instead celebrates growth through suffering.”

To ground these heavy concepts, the band has paired the single with a stark, cinematic music video. The visual companion focuses heavily on contrast, matching the band’s aggressive performance with quiet, vulnerable imagery to capture the transition from internal trauma to absolute catharsis.

Homesick promises to be one of the band’s most cohesive and emotionally punishing offerings to date. Bleed to Life is streaming now on all major platforms, with the official music video available on YouTube.
