More than forty years after Sorcery first began carving their name into the Swedish death metal underground, the band are preparing to unleash another full-length with The Immaculate Sin, due out on October 1 through Xtreem Music.

Sorcery’s history stretches back to the demo Arrival, followed by two further demos and a rehearsal tape before the release of the Rivers Of The Dead single in 1990. Their debut album, Bloodchilling Tales, arrived the following year and would go on to become regarded as a classic of the early Swedish death metal movement.

The years that followed were considerably less straightforward. Persistent lineup changes eventually pushed Sorcery into a period of inactivity in 1997, with the band not returning until 2009. Their second chapter gathered momentum after signing with Xtreem Music, beginning with Arrival At Six in 2013 and continuing through Garden Of Bones in 2016 and Necessary Excess Of Violence in 2019.

The Immaculate Sin now adds another chapter to that long-running story, with Sorcery promising their most unrelenting material yet. William Blackmon handled the recording process, while Juanjo Castellano Rosado provides the artwork.

The Immaculate Sin will be released by Xtreem Music on October 1 in CD, 12-inch vinyl, cassette and digital formats.
