Swedish extreme metal project Devourer have released an official music video for their new single, Astral Attrition. Filmed by core members John and Sanna Falk at the historic Hyttan ironworks in Jรคdraรฅs, Sweden, the clip frames the songโ€™s themes of cosmic decay against the industrial backdrop of the historic site, incorporating manipulated visual excerpts by video artist David Miller (MLLR).

The single marks a structural shift for the Gรคvle-based unit, representing the first composition written entirely by bassist and vocalist Sanna Falk. Founder John Falk arranged the guitar tracking and executed the drum production, mixing, and mastering, alongside guest guitar solos contributed by longtime collaborator Vald.

Currently serving as the fifth completed track for the group’s upcoming studio record, the release coincides with a major expansion of the band’s operating lineup. Devourer have recruited a permanent live drummer and second guitarist, transitioning the long-running studio entity into a full performing unit ahead of their live debut set for April 3rd, 2027.

Devourer’s next full-length album is projected for release in the first half of 2027, with additional video production planned prior to the full record’s arrival.
