Finnish death metal outfit Erase This Earth have released a new three-track EP titled Horrors Unearthed. Originating as an isolated batch of studio compositions written by guitarist Mikko Niskanen, the project grew into a full release after singer Heikki Mรคki constructed a overarching vocal narrative across the material.
Formed in Tampere in 2017 around a shared history in the Finnish underground, the five-piece completed their lineup in 2021 ahead of their debut EP, Signs, and subsequent single, Out of Time. The new offering continues the group’s pattern of melding technical proficiency with direct, mid-paced aggression.

Sonically, the material blends traditional melodic death metal frameworks with subtle progressive arrangements and varied tempo shifts. The three tracks move between straight-ahead speed and layered guitar work, designed to match the EP’s central thematic arc of apocalyptic descent and social collapse.
The release is out now through Inverse Records.
