Industrial death metal pioneers The Berzerker are officially bringing their cult-classic fifth album, The Reawakening, back from the dead. Originally pulled from physical shelves and digital platforms by creator Luke Kenny shortly after its release, the long-lost record has finally found a permanent home via Apocalyptic Witchcraft. The highly anticipated reissue marks the end of an eighteen-year shadow existence for the album, which has survived purely through underground word-of-mouth and diehard fan trading.

The rollout will hit in two distinct waves to maximize impact. The Reawakening will first make its official return to all digital and streaming platforms on July 17th. This will be followed by a comprehensive physical release on October 30th, dropping on limited-edition splatter vinyl, digipak CD, and cassette just ahead of the bandโ€™s landmark performance at Damnation Festival in Leeds alongside Carcass and Satyricon.

The reissue preserves the uncompromising, hyper-speed programming and abrasive industrial savagery that defined the bandโ€™s peak era. Rather than relying on modern, overly sanitized remastering tricks, the release leans into the mechanistic chaos of tracks like Wisdom And Corruption and An Unforgettable Force. It stands as a blistering piece of extreme metal history, finally getting the widespread, legitimate release it deserved all along.
