Off It has been released as the lead single and opening track from Australian punk trio The Chats’ upcoming third album, Half Cut. The single arrives alongside an official music video following the group’s recent North American tour alongside Social Distortion and Descendents and an appearance at Coachella 2026.

The upcoming record serves as the direct follow-up to the Sunshine Coast outfit’s 2022 release, Get Fucked. Since that release, the trio have spent five years touring extensively across multiple continents, including support slots for Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, and The Hives.

Recorded at Los Angeles’ Maple Sound Studio with producer Jay Whalley of Frenzal Rhomb, the new LP expands the band’s rock and roll sound. Track titles such as Half Arsed, Hanging Shit, and Brown Bottle Flu frame an exploration of hangovers, confrontation, reconciliation, and rehabilitation.

Half Cut arrives on 5th March 2027 via Virgin Music Group.
