An innocent playground challenge evolves into a terrifying localized myth in the upcoming creepypasta-influenced horror anthology, The Summoning. Also slated to stream under the title The Summoning of Baby Blue, the independent film is locked for a digital home release on June 5th, by way of Brainstorm Media.
The narrative focuses on a standard evening of babysitting that goes completely off the rails when three teenagers decide to conjure a malicious entity known as Baby Blue. As tou can imagine, everything goes horrobly wrong, and the group must urgently investigate a historical tragedy to evade the deadly, supernatural fury of a mother seeking vengeance from the afterlife.
The anthology utilizes a collective directing approach, with segments helmed by Felipe Vargas (Rosario, Hive), Sergio Gonzalez, Brandon Piskorik, Corey Benson Powers, and Brian Sepanzyk. The overarching screenplay was penned by Camilo Zaffora, while the production team features Nicolรกs Onetti, Michael Kraetzer, and Carlos Goitia. Bringing the teenage nightmare to the screen is a cast consisting of Valeria San Martรญn, Justina Ceballos, Daniela Flombaum, Nannu Spannauss, Agustรญn Olcese, and Giovanni Onetti.
