American technical death metal group Artificial Brain have released Planet: Carrion, the second promotional single from their upcoming fourth studio album, Antillia. The track is accompanied by an official music video created and edited by director Alex Moreรกn.
Guitarist Dan Gargiulo co-wrote the track alongside guitarist Sam Smith, steering the composition away from the band’s traditional structures. The arrangement relies on unconventional chord progressions, dissonant note selections, and a slower, mid-tempo dynamic that builds toward an explosive closing sequence.
Conceptually, the video addresses environmental decay and planetary destruction, focusing on the ultimate aftermath left behind after total extinction. The imagery emphasizes barren landscapes to frame the song’s thematic focus on planetary death.
Antillia arrives on November 13th via Profound Lore Records.
