There is something timeless about looking up at a clear night sky, and Nashville symphonic power metal band Valkyrie’s Fire have taken that simple moment as the inspiration behind their new single Cascade. The track arrives alongside a new music video and is the second preview from their upcoming album Out of Darkness, due for release on September 18 through Eclipse Records.

Built around themes of wonder, reflection and the scale of the universe beyond us, Cascade uses the imagery of the cosmos to mirror the song’s atmospheric approach. Rather than following a traditional storyline, the accompanying video focuses on the band’s performance while allowing the surrounding visuals to enhance the mood of the track.

Directed by ProMotion LLC and filmed at Precision Dynamics International in Franklin, Tennessee, the video uses cosmic imagery and lighting to create a visual counterpart to the band’s symphonic sound.

The band describe the video’s black wardrobe choices as a deliberate way of allowing the colours of the cosmic visuals to take centre stage, creating a sense of escape from the noise of everyday life.

Cascade is the second single taken from Out of Darkness, which will be released on September 18 through Eclipse Records.
