Extreme Chaos, Nuclear War Now! Productions, and Deathrash Armageddon have revealed Messa Nera, an upcoming split release between Italian black/death/noise duo Vodun and Uruguayan solo project JPI Vio-Lens Kommand. The split is scheduled for release on August 30th.
Rooted in a shared interest in voodoo rituals, esoteric practices, and black mass themes (messe nere), the record pairs two distinct approaches to extreme metal under a unified thematic umbrella.

The A-side features Vodunโcomprising members Terab and Antihuman War Machineโwho deliver a cavernous, noise-heavy blend of black and death metal centered around repetitive, hypnotic arrangements. On the B-side, JPI Vio-Lens Kommand offers a thrash-influenced black/death sound drawing heavy inspiration from early extreme metal acts like Possessed and Sarcรณfago, built on sharp guitar work and aggressive tempos.
Messa Nera will be available across multiple formats via three independent labels: Nuclear War Now! Productions will handle a limited 300-copy vinyl press, Japanese label Deathrash Armageddon will release the CD version, and Extreme Chaos will issue a limited cassette run.
The split will be available across all formats on August 30th.
