ITN Movies – the company responsible for such masterpieces as Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare – have just released a new trailer for the upcoming movie: Sharks vs. Mermaids.

No.

Really.

Seemingly based on an ancient curse where if you get bitten by a shark or a mermaid, you become a blood hungry monster of the deep, Sharks vs. Mermaids ticks all the right boxes for your erstwhile reporter.

Crappy acting? Check.

Special Effects that would make Ed Wood blush? Check.

More blood than a vampire on the rag? Double Check.

And so many cockney’s that Eastenders must’ve been scrambling around to find extra’s during the movies shoot? Triple fucking check.

Directed by Lily Mellor and starring Iain Collins, Alexander Garcia, Myriam Laurent, Dylan Reeves-Fellows and Isobel Scanlan, Sharks vs. Mermaids is scheduled for release some time in 2026, and as someone who has a taste for the… shall we say more ridiculous side of cinema, it can’t get see the light of day quickly enough.

This is gonna be good.
