Yeah, you have to watch this. In the brutal new trailer for Pinocchio Unstrung, brought to you by the good folks at ITN, Pinocchio murders the hell out of everyone he comes across in his quest to become a real boy.

A lot of negative things have been said about the use of public domain characters in horror movies, but with Pinocchio Unstrung, writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield takes all of that and chops it’s head clean off. Along with various nther bits and pieces.

With animatronics handled by Todd Masters, and starring Richard Brake as Geppetto and the voice of Robert Englund as a mentally deranged, blood thirsty cricket hell bent in convincing Pinocchio that the best way to becoming a real boy is disemboweling anyone he comes across, Pinocchio Unstrung promises not to be for the faint of heart when it finally gets a theatrical release this year.
